Wireless Emergency Alert System

The Challenge

Steel plants needed a reliable, minimal-interaction emergency alert system that could operate in areas with zero mobile or Wi-Fi connectivity, penetrate harsh industrial environments, and allow a worker in distress—often unable to use conventional devices—to trigger an alert. The solution had to leverage long-range LoRa communication, remain rugged and dependable in heavy-industry conditions, and ensure instant emergency signaling across the facility.

The Solution

We engineered a custom LoRa-powered emergency alert device built on the Nordic nRF52840, running optimized firmware adapted from the Meshtastic mesh network for reliable long-range communication inside steel-plant environments. On the software side, we developed a real-time alert dashboard using Angular on an ASP.NET backend, enabling supervisors to instantly monitor, visualize, and respond to distress signals across the facility.

Wearable Vitals Monitor

The Challenge

Developing a discrete, skin-safe wearable to monitor heart rate variability (HRV) continuously. The device needed to sync data reliably to an iPhone without draining the user's phone battery.

The Solution

We utilized Nordica chip for its efficient BLE stack. The 2-layer Flex PCB was designed to fit within a 10mm ring. The iOS app uses CoreBluetooth for background data syncing and CoreData for local caching.
